Hi, I'm Anna.
Fully Qualified Therapist (MBACP)
About me
I’m a dedicated therapist with a deep passion for understanding and celebrating the uniqueness of each individual. This passion is rooted in my personal journey of feeling distinct and set apart. When I made the decision to move to another country, England, I once again found myself feeling different. However, I learned to fully embrace this uniqueness and make it a source of strength. I believe that my personal experience can be a valuable asset in establishing a strong and trusting professional relationship with you.
My experiences living in a different country have enhanced my understanding and connection with people from diverse backgrounds, which can be incredibly helpful when working with my clients. I am attuned to cultural biases, stereotypes, and societal pressures that can affect your well-being and can help you navigate these issues. My English-native clients appreciate my unique outlook and insights, which lead to a more comprehensive and holistic approach.
My path to becoming a qualified integrative therapist, registered with BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), has always revolved around working with people from various backgrounds.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, from neurodiverse children and adults to women seeking refuge from domestic violence, and patients and their families in hospice care.
Having earned a master’s degree in a field related to supporting people with learning disabilities, I come to my role as a therapist with a strong academic background. I’ve also taken additional postgraduate courses to expand my knowledge and skills in this area.
These diverse experiences have uniquely equipped me with the essential skills, expertise and empathy needed to provide effective support to people from various walks of life.

We would talk about what brings you to the therapy and what you hope to achieve. You can expect to discuss your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours in a safe and supportive environment. Be patient with yourself and with the process, and don’t be afraid to ask questions or share any concerns you may have along the way.
What issues can I seek help with through online therapy?
You can seek help with a wide range of issues through online counselling, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, and more. Online counselling can be an effective way to address mental health concerns from the comfort of your own home.
How can online therapy benefit me?
Online therapy can offer several benefits, including greater convenience, flexibility, and accessibility. With online therapy, you can receive mental health care from the comfort of your own home or wherever you have an internet connection. This can be especially helpful if you have mobility issues, live in a remote area, or have a busy schedule that makes it difficult to attend in-person appointments. Online therapy can help you feel more comfortable and relaxed during your sessions, which can lead to more productive and effective therapy outcomes .
Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
More and more research shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for many people. Some of the benefits of online therapy include greater convenience, flexibility, and accessibility. With online therapy, you can receive mental health care from the comfort of your own home or wherever you have an internet connection.
However, it’s important to note that online therapy may not be suitable for everyone or every situation. It’s not a substitute for emergency care or face-to-face therapy. If you’re experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate assistance, it’s important to reach out to emergency services or a mental health professional in your area.
Remember that finding the right therapist and approach is a personal process. It may take some time to find the right fit for your needs and preferences. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
How do I schedule an online therapy session with you?
Just by clicking the “Book Your Session” button.
What platform do you use for online sessions, and is it secure and confidential?
I use Google Meet or Microsoft Teams for the online sessions. Both of them are secure platforms that prioritize user privacy and data protection. They use encryption to secure communication between us and have implemented various security features to prevent unauthorized access and protect against cyber threats. However, it’s important to note that no platform is completely immune to security risks, and users should always follow best practices for online safety, such as using strong passwords, keeping software up to date, and being cautious of phishing attempts.
How long are the online therapy sessions, and how frequently should I schedule them?
The sessions are 50 minutes long. I recommend attending sessions weekly, especially during the initial phase of therapy. Regular weekly sessions can help establish a consistent therapeutic relationship and provide a solid foundation for progress and growth. It allows you and me to build rapport, gain insights, and work towards your goals effectively. However, the exact frequency and duration of sessions can vary depending on your specific needs and preferences. It’s essential to discuss your preferences with me, so we can determine the most suitable schedule for your therapy sessions. Remember that therapy is a collaborative process, and open communication with me is key to ensuring that your needs are met.
How many therapy sessions I would need?
The number of sessions needed for online therapy can vary depending on several factors, including the nature of the issue being addressed, the goals of therapy, and individual progress. It’s important to note that therapy is a highly individualised process, and the number of sessions needed can vary significantly from person to person. Some individuals may find that they achieve their goals in a shorter period, while others may require more time to work through their concerns.
Are the sessions confidential?
I take your confidentiality very seriously, and this will be discussed with you at our first meeting.
